NutriTech Liquid L-Carnitine - Product Review

In recent years, carnitine and all its forms have received quite a bit of spotlight in terms of its uses and its role in fat loss. The simple claim that had been thrown around was that it was this miracle fat loss tool that could melt away your fat like butter in a hot pan. However, a large number of critical supplement users and sceptics were quick to turn around and say that what had been claimed wasn’t the reality and that carnitine was a useless supplement for fat loss.

About the product:

The first rather large benefit of L-carnitine is that it has been shown to really improve an individual's overall workout performance by lowering one’s levels of fatigue and blood lactate while simultaneously providing a slightly increased power output. While on the road to your leaner physique, this benefit proves to be extremely useful due to the fact that when you’re in a deficit for prolonged periods of time, your body will fatigue faster and your general performance output decreases. As a result of this, you burn fewer calories with each session due to lower energy levels slow down your fat loss. In other words, your lack of energy during sessions can be countered with this performance booster.

L-carnitine may also provide a marked decrease in delayed onset muscle soreness (or the dreaded DOMS, as we know them) and increase androgen receptor density in muscle cells. According to Dr Layne Norton, more androgen receptors in muscle cells may mean that your current levels of anabolic hormones like testosterone may work more efficiently, and your body can respond more appropriately to these hormones. Keep in mind that while on the cut, your testosterone levels are going take a dip as you gradually get leaner and leaner so keeping them a good level will play a key role in keeping your hard-earned muscle while you dial down.

Usability:

Nutritech's Liquid L-Carnitine comes in a nifty little bottle that is quite easily measured out and even easier to take. Ever had a tablespoon of medicine? Same deal. Except this time, it does not taste as bad as medicine. The blueberry flavour was quite punchy but did have a nice aftertaste to it.

Additionally, there were no feelings of any “kicks” or temperature hikes that people claim to experience from taking liquid L-Carnitine, so you can trust this to get in and settle almost immediately. However, if you want to feel any kicks and/or temperature hikes, then taking this with beta-alanine, caffeine, or a pre-workout that has both would be an option to consider.

Other than that, there is not much else to talk about in terms of usability. It is all pretty straight forward.

Dosages:

This product has a recommended serving size of 1 tablespoon taken twice daily. The bottle does only house 13 total serving sizes (1 serving size being 2 tablespoons) but the price of the product does cater for the short number of servings, so it is entirely feasible to buy 2 bottles a month.

Rating:

This product gets a 3 out of 5 for me. It does have its usefulness and definitely has a pleasant taste. But, as with any fat loss endeavour, diet and training have to be in order first for any product of this nature to assist you at all.
