L-leucine is an essential amino acid – in which it cannot be produced by the body itself. It is also one of three branched-chain amino acids responsible for the maintenance of muscle tissue. Leucine has been shown to be the main potentiator of muscle protein synthesis and may promote muscle recovery and growth after training. In addition, leucine supplementation may prevent protein degradation and muscular fatigue associated with intense exercise.
Mix 1 slightly rounded scoop (approx. 5g) with 250ml of cold water, flavoured drink or combine with your favourite NPL product.
On training days, consume before and after training. On non-training days, consume 1-2 times daily between meals.
